Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax and business situations. You will prepare returns, interview clients, and deliver personalized tax savings guidance in a local Block Advisors office.

You will build lasting client relationships through empathetic, consultative service, while leveraging training and technology to improve outcomes and earnings potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns.
• Strong verbal and written communication, explaining tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and implications.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance.
