H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare accurate tax returns for clients with complex situations and to build lasting client relationships in a local Block Advisors office.

Qualifications

H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment completed.
5+ years of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience with complex individual and business returns, including tax planning, audit support, and tax notice resolution.
Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications and provide clear recommendations.
Build long-term client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
