Job summary

HeyTutor is partnering with a local school district in Lancaster to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring for Elementary School students. Tutors must have completed an Associate’s degree or be currently enrolled in college and be prepared to pass an FBI-DOJ background check provided by HeyTutor.

We are hiring Math Tutors for grades 3rd-5th, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:30pm to 5:30pm and pay between $20–$26 per hour based on education and experience.

• AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college.

Responsibilities

• Tutor large groups of students up to 15 without direct teacher supervision.
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment.
• Support positive student behavior and participation.
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Assist with student assessments when requested.
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus.
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

About The Role

HeyTutor has partnered with a local school district in Lancaster to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday availability required


• Schedule: 2:30pm-5:30pm M-F

Requirements

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)


• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred


• Comfortable tutoring Elementary School Math


• Ability to manage large groups of students independently


• Comfortable working in a classroom setting


• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor)


• Spanish Bilingual is preferred not required
