Job summary

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Forest Grove and is hiring tutors to assist elementary students during regular school hours (K-5th). You will work with diverse learners and help them catch up on gaps from the past year. In-person background check is required.

This role offers consistent tutoring hours and the opportunity to impact students in your community. Pay ranges from $22 to $28 per hour, with pay determined by education and experience at interview.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college/university.
• Tutoring experience
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check
• Spanish fluency is preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of students without teacher supervision.
• Prepare tutoring area and materials for sessions.
• May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school site.
• Take attendance and run lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Document student progress in HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Facilitate baseline and summative assessments as requested by manager.
• Lead a group of students using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging environment that promotes belonging for kids.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices.
• Engage with tutoring sessions alongside students.
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company or School Site
