Job summary

HeyTutor is partnering with a Forest Grove school district to hire tutors for elementary students (K-5). You will supervise and assist students during school hours, helping them catch up on learning gaps. Background checks are required for in-person work, with compensation between $22 and $28 per hour.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day, with several shifts needed during school hours. Experience with children and classroom environments is preferred, and Spanish fluency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college/university.
• Tutoring experience with kids.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check.
• Spanish fluency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions with groups of students during school hours.
• Prepare area to start tutoring session and gather materials.
• Take attendance and document progress in the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Facilitate baseline and summative assessments when requested by manager.
• Engage students, reinforce positive behavior, and create an inviting learning environment.
• Clock in/out daily for shifts and complete tasks as assigned by the school site.
