Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an In-patient Coder to handle hospital inpatient coding for CABG, Orthopedic, and Medical cases, using the 3M 360 Encoder HDM platform. The role requires accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and DRG assignment, with the ability to support multiple sites and ensure compliance with HIPAA and related regulations.

The ideal candidate will hold a 2-year degree or equivalent, plus AHIMA/AAPC credentials, and have proven experience coding the specified case types with strong attention to

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent required.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Orthopedic, and Med cases.
• Experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: assign ICD-10-CM/PCS diagnoses and procedures and determine DRG.
• Create compliant physician queries.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per client contract.
• Assign present-on-admission indicators.
• Provide excellent client service and collaborate with teammates.
• Float across sites and coding specialties.
