Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in New Jersey to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, expense analysis, and general ledger maintenance in collaboration with the accounting team.

The position requires 3–5 years of corporate accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficient Excel skills. Oracle Cloud ERP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of corporate accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and month-end adjustments.
• Record and reconcile monthly bank activity.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Review general ledger activity for accuracy.
• Analyze expenses and investigate budget variances.
• Reconcile inventory balances and research discrepancies.
• Assist with tax accruals and quarterly filings.
• Review claims and record related receivables.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Support process improvements and other accounting projects.
