Job summary

VENTEON and HARVARD RESOURCE SOLUTIONS are seeking a Staff Accountant or Full Charge Bookkeeper to handle daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping for a growing family-owned business.

The role is in-office, full-time with an interim contract and potential for permanency. Salary is 65,000–75,000 USD per year, with 5+ years of full-cycle accounting and solid GAAP knowledge required; Excel, QuickBooks and Shopify experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor degree is desirable. Minimum High School Diploma required along with a solid understanding of GAAP.
• Experience: 5+ years of full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably within a mid-sized corporate or family-owned business.
• Software: Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks; Shopify experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting duties.
• Process Accounts Payable including vendor invoices and payments; optimize cash flow.
• Process Accounts Receivable and assist in collections communications.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and monitor merchant fees.
• Monitor Shopify invoices and payments for e-commerce operations.
• Maintain General Ledger and prepare Financial Statements.
• Serve as liaison for audits with outside CPA.
• Support HR, general operations, payroll via Paychex for ~30 employees.
• Coordinate IT/system updates with external IT vendor.
