Job summary

Chesapeake Urology seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the In-Office Dispensary by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications. You will process prescriptions electronically and verify patient information while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires at least a High School Diploma and 3 years of technician experience, with travel to other sites as needed within the region. A strong focus on customer service and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Pharmacy technician training program approved by State Board or ASHP.

Responsibilities

• Manage payor prior authorizations and patient access to meds.
• Process prescriptions electronically; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collect insurance and demographic information; verify allergies and conditions.
• Stock, label, and dispense medications; maintain storage conditions.
• Enter inventory data; assist with recalls and HIPAA compliance.
