Job summary

Centers for Advanced Urology is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.

The role includes filling orders, reconciling missing doses, stocking medications, and ensuring accurate data entry. The technician will prepare IV medications and support the pharmacist in patient safety and compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

• Fill new medication orders and cassettes for pharmacist review.
• Assist in reconciliation of missing orders and doses and complete documentation.
• Deliver stock medications and place in appropriate storage locations.
• Enter NDC, lot number, expiration date for each medication.
• Complete charging and crediting functions as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and verify accuracy.
• Assist pharmacists with preparing IV medications and parenteral nutrition per guidelines.
• Label pre-mixed IV meds and batch prep for pharmacist review.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
