Chesapeake Urology in the Gettysburg area seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the In-Office Dispensary (IOD) by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications under supervision. Emphasis on accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and patient-focused service.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions electronically, coordinating with payor and foundation funding teams, maintaining inventory, and ensuring proper storage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician training program approved by State Board or ASHP accreditation.
• PTCE or national certification (PTCB) preferred or required by state.

Responsibilities

• Stock, assemble, and distribute medications for the In-Office Dispensary (IOD).
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure accuracy.
• Manage payor prior authorizations and funding access for medications.
• Maintain proper storage and security for drugs; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Enter inventory data and ensure recalls are completed.
• Assist patients and providers with inquiries in a timely manner.
