Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking a friendly Patient Experience Specialist to join our Jasper, IN office. This full-time, in-office role handles front desk duties, appointment scheduling, check-in/out, insurance checks, patient education on coverage, and payment processing while delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least a year of related experience or training; healthcare exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least a year of related experience and/or training.
• Past medical office experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and recapturing appointments and rescheduling as needed.
• Registering patients and ensuring complete/accurate information.
• Coordinating with patients/referring physicians for referrals.
• Verifying insurance and obtaining required prior authorizations.
• Educating patients about coverage and payment responsibilities.
• Collecting co-pays, deductibles, and other amounts due.
• Answering calls professionally and routing messages appropriately.
• Support other clinic operations as assigned.
