Job summary

Hercules Concrete in Warren, MI seeks a Dispatcher to coordinate concrete deliveries from our corporate office. The role emphasizes safety, quality, efficiency and profitability in daily operations, with a strong customer service focus.

The perfect candidate will have 2+ years in concrete dispatching, knowledge of QC/QA, and the ability to lead drivers. Must be willing to work 10pm-8am, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays at $50/hour and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in concrete dispatching.
• Understanding of QC/QA for ready mix concrete industry.
• Knowledge of concrete production equipment, processes, and maintenance programs.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to multi-task with strong communication and detail orientation.
• Union contract knowledge.
• Authoritative figure who leads drivers daily.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from plants, drivers and customers.
• Use maps to determine efficient routes and directions.
• Process information from drivers, sales team and customers.
• Schedule drivers to meet production demands.
• Balance driver hours to meet productivity and DOT compliance.
• Maintain radio/phone contact with drivers.
• Assist with driver recruiting and retention.
• Work long hours and weekends during peak season with incentives.
• Provide quality customer service and perform other duties as needed.
