Job summary

Hercules Materials Holdings is seeking an Operations Manager for our Toledo, OH terminal. You will lead the aggregate hauling operation, supervise about 10 drivers and 2 dispatchers, and participate in hiring as this is a new location.

Ideal candidates have concrete or logistics management experience, strong leadership, and a drive to deliver excellent service. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. The role offers growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior Concrete or Logistics management experience is strongly preferred.
• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees.
• Willingness to work 60 hours/week average.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a DOT compliant operation.
• Monitor and approve hours of service and payroll for drivers and office personnel on-site.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, firing, disciplinary action, and training.
• Review work orders, purchase orders, and inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Lead and coordinate with maintenance schedules for on-site vehicles.
• Ensure materials are available so production never stops.
• Provide leadership and accountability to the team for a successful operation.
