Job summary

LifeStance Health, Suffolk, VA, seeks a Medical Services Coordinator to be the first point of contact, coordinating care and supporting psychiatric clinicians. You will deliver high-quality customer service to in-office and remote patients and maintain accurate records.

Starting pay is $21.75 per hour with quarterly incentive potential. The role requires strong multitasking, communication, HIPAA awareness, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMRs; HS diploma required with degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Associates/bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role preferred.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office & EMRs.
• Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care and provide support to patients and clinicians.
• Assist with prior authorizations, lab orders, and records requests.
• Coordinate patient forms and paperwork (e.g., FMLA).
• Facilitate communication between patient, medical staff, and pharmacy.
• Manage phone systems and patient inquiries; support telehealth access.
• Scan correspondence into the patient’s EHR and maintain records.
• Triage urgent requests and escalate as needed; coordinate external referrals.
