Job summary

SelfPublishing.com is hiring an HR & Recruiting Specialist for in-office work in Austin, TX. You will own recruiting, onboarding, and people operations from end to end, shaping in-person culture and driving growth through great people.

You’ll lead 1) attracting elite talent, 2) managing onboarding/offboarding, and 3) partnering with leadership to strengthen hiring systems and SOPs. This role is full-time and in-office at West Lake Hills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or talent development.
• Experience managing end-to-end recruiting, onboarding, and performance systems.
• Proficiency with HR software (HRIS, ATS) and payroll knowledge.
• Thriving in high-growth or performance-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Recruit elite talent at volume and manage multiple openings.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding for a smooth new-hire experience.
• Support performance management cycles and growth conversations.
• Drive initiatives to improve EPS and overall team culture.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and HR compliance.
• Plan and execute employee engagement programs and in-person events.
• Build and reinforce an in-office culture focused on accountability.
