Talent & HR Specialist – Austin, TX
What You’ll Do
Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus – ~70%)
- Own End-to-End Recruiting: Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for roles across our customer-facing and operational teams. Source candidates, run phone screens, manage coordination, deliver offers, and drive onboarding.
- Sourcing: Utilize various channels, including social media, job boards, referrals, and direct sourcing techniques to identify and attract qualified candidates for open positions.
- Partner with Hiring Managers: Work closely with managers to understand team needs, build strong pipelines, and provide a proactive, data-informed recruiting strategy.
- Champion Candidate Experience: Ensure every candidate touchpoint reflects our culture and values, with timely, clear, and personalized communication.
- Drive Employer Branding: Represent Workiz in the Austin market—build our presence through social media, job boards, and direct outreach.
- Optimize TA Processes: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve recruitment workflows, tools, and reporting.
- Manage Vendors: Oversee relationships with external recruiting partners and agencies as needed.
HR Operations & Office Ownership (Secondary Focus – ~30%)
- Local HR Support: Be the primary HR contact in Austin, handling employee lifecycle support, basic employee relations, HR documentation, and compliance tasks in partnership with the global team.
- New Hire Onboarding: Partner with managers and the enablement team to deliver a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
- Office Experience & Culture: Maintain a functional and welcoming office environment; coordinating team events, employee milestone celebrations, and engagement activities.
- Admin & Coordination: Provide administrative support across HR functions, including meticulous employee record management and collaborative assistance with IT and Finance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a fast-paced, tech-driven company.
- Experience in talent sourcing on LinkedIn and premium tools.
- Proven experience managing hiring across various levels and functions.
- A strong grasp of end-to-end HR processes and administrative best practices.
- Proficiency with ATS and HRIS systems (bonus points for working knowledge of Comeet, Rippling, Personio, LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive—you manage competing priorities with ease.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to build trust with candidates and employees at all levels.

- This is a hybrid role working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in our office and Monday and Friday working remotely.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 per annum.
