Cross Insurance in New Gloucester, ME is seeking a dedicated Claims Assistant to support our workers' compensation claims team in a fully in-office environment. The position requires a high school diploma, solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe), and strong organizational abilities.

You will handle daily mail, issue checks, set up claim files, prepare and distribute forms, field phone calls, and run routine reports to assist claims adjusters in a fast-paced, collaborative office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education/workers compensation experience beneficial.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook & Adobe; ability to use multiple computer programs with accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Multitask and maintain accuracy to support claims adjusters and management in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle daily mail, pay bills, issue checks, and set up claim files.
• Prepare and distribute forms, answer phone calls, and copy files; run routine reports as needed.
