Job summary

Steadily in Overland Park, KS is hiring an Associate Claims Adjuster to guide customers through the claims process with empathy, accuracy, and speed. This full-time, in-office role requires completing onboarding and licensing, establishing new claims, reviewing estimates, and ensuring high-quality documentation and compliance.

You will work a 8am-5pm/9am-6pm/10am-7pm CST shift with a potential $5,000/year differential on the later hours, and you’ll be part of a team in a fast-growing company

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience with strong communication, critical thinking, and problem solving.
• Superior verbal and written communication; calm, professional demeanor.
• Above-average computer skills; quick learner of new software.
• Self-driven; can manage a large workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete onboarding to build a foundation in basic insurance principles and property claims.
• Complete an adjuster licensing course and obtain applicable licensing.
• Learn Steadily's approach to claims handling to deliver a fast, easy experience.
• Establish new claims by taking First Notice of Loss.
• Review estimates, reports and issue payments as owed under the policy.
• Maintain high-quality diary entries and documentation, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist during catastrophes with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Help establish and improve workflows and claims processes.
