Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• CPC: 5 years experience required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required.
• Experience with ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding and CMS guidelines required.
• Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy for accurate coding.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-9/ICD-10 codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Use CPT/HCPCS for outpatient and inpatient services.
• Manage EHR systems for billing, coding, and record abstraction.
• Ensure CMS and payer compliance.
• Review records for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with billing to submit and follow up on claims.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines.
