Job summary

Paycom is seeking an on-site Certified Medical Coder to translate diagnoses and procedures into standardized codes for billing. You will review records, ensure proper charge capture, and collaborate with clinicians to resolve coding denials. The role requires CPC certification and completion of a coding program.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with no weekends. You will work within the Business Office to support scheduling and patient services while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of coding program with CPC or equivalent and active coding certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive review of patient records to ensure accurate coding prior to billing.
• Review inpatient and outpatient services for proper coding.
• Ensure complete charge capture and timely charge entry.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on denials and follow up.
• Educate providers and team on coding and billing guidelines.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Comply with HIPAA and privacy rules.
• Navigate Allscripts PM and Allscripts EH.
