Job summary

Truist is seeking an in-office Financial Services Support Specialist in Charleston, West Virginia. You will assist Financial Advisors with client servicing, planning, and executing trades, while maintaining accurate records and scheduling client meetings.

The role requires FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses (or commitment to obtain within 365 days), strong phone skills, and solid knowledge of securities and annuities. Competitive base salary with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and related training.
• Experience in the securities industry and/or a sales assistant role.
• Knowledge of securities markets and brokerage accounts.
• Knowledge of annuity products.
• FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses; licenses obtained within 365 days.
• Excellent telephone skills interacting with clients regarding securities transactions.
• Strong time management skills and professional communication.
• Ability to evaluate complex information and work self-directed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Advisors in servicing clients including preparing financial plans and transactions.
• Receive and place orders; answer market queries and explain order features.
• Process corporate actions requiring a license when applicable.
• Schedule, confirm client appointments; enter data in Salesforce; manage admin tasks.
• Manage the advisor's calendar to maximize productivity and minimize travel time.
• Identify sales opportunities based on leads and product knowledge.
• Provide operational guidance to advisors on systems and documentation.
• Ensure new account paperwork is properly completed and filed.
• Mitigate risk via authentication for high-risk transactions.
• Maintain a professional environment and positive client impression.
• Submit operational requests (funds, deposits, journals, ACATs).
• Collaborate with advisors to review and address reports.
• Assist with branch location needs as needed.
