Job summary

Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation in Amarillo, TX is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our in-house rehab team, delivering person-centered care to residents to improve swallowing, cognition and communication.

You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, educate residents and caregivers, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology and in good standing.
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of SLP treatment practices in rehab settings.
• Ability to manage patients with diverse needs and personalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized speech-language treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for communication impairments.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on therapy goals.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures.
• Maintain accurate billing records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing and restorative teams to support resident goals.
• Ensure confidentiality and comply with legal and professional standards.
