Job summary

Lampstand Nursing is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehab team serving residents in a SNF/long-term care setting. The role focuses on person-centered care, with emphasis on swallowing, cognition, and AAC where appropriate.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, education for residents and caregivers, collaboration with other professionals, and accurate documentation. Texas licensure is required; new grads are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of treatment practices and AAC.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for expressive and language disorders.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers as needed.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate billing records and clinical documentation.
