Job summary

Western New York Arena, LLC is seeking a security professional to patrol assigned properties, enforce policies, and ensure guest safety. You will monitor cameras, alarms, and access systems while documenting events and maintaining logs.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to engage with guests, employees, and contractors professionally. The role demands the ability to work varied shifts, stand/walk for extended periods, and respond to emergent situations with good judgment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be able to obtain NYS security guard certification and have good character.
• Three to five years of previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to work with limited supervision at times.
• Able to work irregular hours including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas to ensure guest safety and policy compliance.
• Greet and control movements of patrons, visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Screen guests, employees, and visitors as directed.
• Monitor electronic systems (fire board, alarm panel, cameras, access system).
• Create documentation and maintain daily logsheets.
• Remain calm and professional in all situations.
• Report pertinent information to supervisor.
• Conduct routine surveillance rounds at properties, including exterior perimeter.

Summary

To ensure the safety and enjoyment or our guests, contractors and employees while enforcing company policy in a positive and professional manner, through patrolling assigned areas and through interpersonal communications. Monitoring and controlling the movements of patrons, visitors and contractors through various methods is also a main component of the job.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas within the assigned properties to ensure guest safety and compliance with buildingpolicy;
• Greet, monitor,and control the movements of patrons, visitors, employees,andcontractors;
• Conduct varying levels of screening of guests, employees and visitors asdirected;
• Monitor all electronic systems (fire board, alarm panel, cameras, access system);
• Create documentation for all pertinent events and maintain daily logsheets;
• Remain calm and professional in allsituations;
• Report pertinent information tosupervisor;
• Conduct routine surveillance rounds in and around the assigned properties including the outside perimeter.

Minimum Qualifications for this Position

• High School Diploma orEquivalent;
• Must be able to obtain New York State security guard certification and be of goodcharacter;
• Three to five yearsprevious law enforcement or security experience ispreferred;
• Must be able towork effectively with limited supervision attimes;
• Must be able to work irregular hours that includevarying shifts(days, evening, overnights), weekends, holidays,andmandatoryovertimewhen needed.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, sit, walk for extended and varying periods oftime;
• Must be able to walkstairs;
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.;
• Must be willing and able to respond to emergent situations.

Compensation

• Pay for the role is $19.70 an hour
