Job summary

Western New York Arena, LLC is seeking Event Security Guards to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests, contractors and employees during events. You will patrol assigned areas and monitor access while communicating with guests in a professional manner.

Responsibilities include greeting and controlling movements, screening guests, monitoring security systems, and reporting incidents. Must have a High School Diploma, strong customer service, and the ability to obtain NYS Security Guard

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain New York State Security Guard Registration and be of good character.

Event Security Guards ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests, contractors and employees while enforcing company policy in a positive and professional manner, through patrolling assigned areas and through interpersonal communications. This role monitors and controls the movements of patrons, visitors and contractors using various methods.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet, monitor and control the movements of patrons, visitors, employees and contractors.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must have strong customer service skills/experience
• Must be able to obtain New York State Security Guard Registration and be of good character;
• Previous law enforcement or security experience is preferred;

Work Environment & Physical Demands.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.;
• Must be willing and able to respond to emergent situations;
• Must be able to work effectively with limited supervision at times.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk for extended and varying periods of time
• Treat guests in a kind and courteous manner;
• Respond to request for service and assistance;
• Follow policies, procedures, and instructions;
• Use time efficiently;
• Observe safety and security procedures.

Compensation

This role pays $17.50 an hour. This is a part-time role and must have the flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
