Regency Laurel Hill is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist at our Grants Pass facility. The role emphasizes adherence to state laws and the plan of care while collaborating with the health care team to promote patient progress and safety.

You will be responsible for assisting with exercises, gait training, ADLs, and transfers, while documenting progress and communicating with supervising clinicians.

Qualificações

• Possess a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
• Must maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the assigned state.
• Able to take direction from registered therapists and other team members to promote patient treatment and safety.
• Able to work independently with periodic support and direction.

Responsabilidades

• Instructs and assists patients in active and passive exercises, gait training, functional and ADL activities, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes to the supervising PT, nurse, and physician.
• Educates patients, families, and other health care team members on therapy participation.
• Visits patients according to Plan of Treatment and completes daily notes for each visit.
• Contributes to developing the Plan of Treatment in collaboration with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Adheres to Therapy Standards of Practice in servicing all patients.
• Reports patient progress, complications, or response to treatment to the Physical Therapist.
• Assists Physical Therapist in procedures, tests, and complex treatments to ensure safe and effective evaluation and treatment.
