Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Pahokee, FL. This role supports resident care under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Positions available Full Time, Part Time, or PRN. Requires an active PTA license and an associate degree with commitment to ongoing professional development. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Identify indications for evaluations at appropriate intervals and assist in the evaluation under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in identifying target lists with short- and long-term goals and treatment plans.
• Conduct individual and group treatments focusing on strength, mobility, gait, balance, and ROM.
• Monitor residents’ response and modify interventions with PT guidance.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating resident therapy in collaboration with the PT and care team.
• Train residents, families, and staff on equipment use and care.
• Contribute to education for residents, families, and staff.
