The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is seeking an experienced counsel for North America to provide legal advice to its brands, retailers, distributors, and salons.

You will draft, negotiate, and review a variety of commercial agreements and help with due diligence for potential acquisitions. Ideal candidates have a JD, 8+ years of experience, and strong strategic thinking, drafting, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree; licensed or eligible to practice in New York.
• 8+ years of experience in law firms and ideally in-house counsel experience.
• Fluent in both written and conversational English.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively to resolve matters and build relationships with senior management.
• Excellent transactional drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a complex matrixed environment.

Responsabilités

• Advise and counsel North America team and Aveda business, including senior leadership.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, and review retailer, distribution, ecommerce, and franchising agreements.
• Improve operation processes to increase work efficiency.
• Collaborate with legal and business experts on cross-functional projects.
• Assist with due diligence for acquisitions and integration of new brands.
• Collaborate on litigation matters related to commercial activity.
