First American seeks an Associate Operations Counsel to deliver in-house legal and regulatory guidance for mortgage servicing and origination. The role focuses on documentation, regulatory trends, and collaboration with operational teams to ensure compliant practices.

Responsibilities include drafting contracts and policies, interpreting regulations, and coordinating with product, technology, and compliance to implement changes while supporting business objectives.

Formación

• Law degree required and licensed to practice in the US.
• Experience with residential mortgage servicing regulations, compliance, and documentation.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical documentation.
• Familiarity with Regulation X (RESPA) and Regulation Z (TILA).

Responsabilidades

• Provide timely legal guidance to operations while minimizing risk.
• Advise on mortgage servicing documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Research federal/state mortgage servicing laws and investor requirements.
• Review and maintain mortgage documents and forms for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with product, technology, and compliance to implement regulatory changes.
