Ur-Energy Inc. in Casper, Wyoming, seeks an Assistant General Counsel to manage the mineral land portfolio and advance acquisition projects.

You will report to the General Counsel and collaborate with Geology, Operations, Engineering, HSE, and executives, guiding landmen, surveyors, and outside title counsel. You will draft and negotiate leases, access agreements, and conveyances while supporting commercial contracts, permitting, and corporate matters.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Wyoming or a Western U.S. state in good standing.
• Experience in oil and gas and/or mining land and mineral title matters.
• Strong ability to draft, review, and negotiate leases, easements, and related land agreements.
• Experience with land acquisitions and due diligence for corporate transactions.
• Familiarity with public lands and land records systems (BLM).

Responsabilités

• Oversee the land portfolio including mineral, surface, leases, easements, ROW, and access interests.
• Plan and manage land acquisition projects from ownership identification to securing rights.
• Direct landmen, surveyors, and outside counsel; set scopes, priorities, deadlines, and budgets.
• Draft, negotiate, and administer leases, access agreements, easements, deeds, and conveyances.
• Oversee land maintenance obligations including rentals, royalties, option payments, and fees.
• Build relationships with landowners, government agencies, and stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy of land records, maps, and databases; support due diligence.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and corporate contracts as needed.
• Travel to mine sites, project areas, courthouses, and landowner properties as required.
