Job summary

SAS Service Partners in Austin seeks its first dedicated in-house HR lead to build and scale policies and systems across Texas and Oklahoma.

You will manage all HR compliance, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and integration work for acquired brands while traveling up to 20%.

This role reports to the Director of Integration & Transformation and requires PHR or SHRM and 4+ years of HR generalist experience.

Qualifications

• PHR certification and 4+ years of HR generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Proven ability to draft and maintain employment policies and handbooks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support HR diligence on live acquisitions and workforce data.
• Own day-one readiness: onboarding, I-9s, Paylocity setup, benefits enrollment.
• Transition acquired employees to SAS policies and benefits; explain changes.
• Be on-site for acquisitions to welcome new employees and assist transitions.
• Coach branch leadership on HR practices, documentation standards, and escalation paths.
• Own and maintain the employee handbook and employment policies.
• Act as HR compliance voice on federal/state law; escalate as needed.
• Manage employee relations, investigations, and separations with leadership.
