Job summary

A boutique hedge fund is searching for a Controller to oversee their accounting and tax functions. This newly created role will be the first in-house dedicated finance/accounting hire and offers the chance to impact the firm significantly. Candidates should have experience with Fixed Income and Bonds, be comfortable working autonomously in a flat structure, and ready to interact with outsourced functions. The office is located in Midtown, requiring 4 days weekly in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounting for Fixed Income, Bonds, and P&L is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously in a flat, family-oriented environment.
• Comfort working with outsourced accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and tax for the hedge fund.
• Be primary point with fund admin on monthly navs.
• Manage daily cash and position reconciliation.
• Provide annual budget to partners.
• Help with technology automation.
