Leading Quant Hedge Fund in NYC looking to hire Fund Controller.

The role will be part of a tight knit team, and work on a variety of different responsibilities and projects. Responsibilities will include fund accounting, strategy, and finance, and ad hoc projects.

The role will work closely with the CFO, legal and compliance, investor relations, and operational risk management groups. Looking for someone bright and analytical that wants to move into a creative and data oriented role where they can make a real impact!

Responsibilities:

• Assess potential areas and processes for improvement


• Mentor and teach junior members of the fund accounting team


• Work closely with the fund administrator on subscriptions and redemptions, shadowing and reconciling NAV calculations and month-end NAV closing, and producing investor statements.


• Calculate and track the expense allocation for the funds, as well as review expense accruals and books.


• Prepare financial data for outside parties, including investors and trading counterparties.


• Prepare ad hoc strategic analyses with the CFO.
