Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Senior Counsel, Litigation to serve as the lead attorney for all litigation and dispute matters across the asset portfolio. You will provide strategic guidance to protect the company’s interests in complex commercial disputes, regulatory matters, and operational incidents.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred).
• 6+ years of litigation experience, mix of law firm and in-house preferred.
• Strong background in energy/midstream/oil & gas litigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead all litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings, including strategy and budgeting.
• Manage a diverse docket: commercial disputes, construction, environmental enforcement, ROW matters.
• Oversee discovery strategy, document preservation, e-discovery, witness prep, expert engagement.
• Advise Operations, EH&S, and Engineering on incidents, regulatory investigations, and risk mitigation.
• Draft and negotiate settlements and dispute-related contract amendments.
• Develop and report litigation metrics to executive leadership.
