Job summary

Campione Law P.A. in Jacksonville, FL seeks an in-house CPA / Accounting Controller to own and build the firm's accounting function.

You’ll be the long-term owner of accounting operations, reducing reliance on outside firms and establishing scalable processes aligned with growth and potential acquisitions. You will partner with the CFO and executive team to identify risks, implement better controls, and create an internal department capable of supporting multi-entity expansion over time.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CPA license with robust operational accounting experience.
• Controller-level ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Ability to challenge leadership and provide strategic accounting recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes; oversee general ledger and journal entries.
• Strengthen controls, policies, and reporting discipline across the firm.
• Assess current systems (QuickBooks Online) and automation opportunities for growth.
