Job summary
Valsoft is seeking an in-house counsel to support three portfolios: two acquisitive groups and Valsoft Ventures. You will negotiate SaaS and vendor agreements, advise on employment matters, protect IP, and help with post-close integrations across entities. You’ll work closely with business teams to provide practical legal solutions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
The role requires JD from a U.S. accredited school and 4–8 years’ combined experience, with strong drafting and negotiation
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and good standing in at least one U.S. state.
- 4–8 years of legal practice; law firm and/or in-house experience is a plus.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills on commercial and technology agreements.
- Experience with technology, software, AI licensing, and SaaS business models.
- Experience handling employment law and HR-related matters.
- Solid knowledge of IP, contracts, and corporate governance; ability to guide business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate software licensing, SaaS, customer, vendor, and partnership agreements.
- Develop templates and playbooks to speed business execution while reducing legal friction.
- Advise on technology and AI licensing issues as they arise.
