Job summary

Cor Partners, the parent of multiple professional services entities, seeks an experienced in-house counsel to partner with business leaders on litigation, regulatory matters, and risk management. The role emphasizes centralized governance, efficient external counsel coordination, and enterprise-wide process improvements.

You will manage complex disputes, advise on contractual matters, and help shape the enterprise's legal strategy across insurance, liability, and compliance domains.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in good standing
• ~10+ years in insurance services, claims handling, TPA, or expert services

Responsibilities

• Oversee active and pending litigation, coordinating with outside counsel, carrier partner counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and defend experts for depositions and attend mediations.
• Respond to subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and document requests while safeguarding privileged information.
• Provide proactive legal guidance on professional liability exposures and risk strategies across operations.
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts; support enterprise-wide legal and compliance processes.
