Qualifications

• D. degree from an accredited law school.
• At least 8 years of complex commercial litigation experience; prior in-house litigation experience strongly preferred.
• First chair trial experience.
• Collaborative personality.
• Comfortable working with executive management on litigation strategy.
• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fluid environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization and external parties.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of litigation.
• Coordinating responses to discovery requests.
• Establishing and overseeing the company’s policies for record retention.
• Managing all aspects of regulatory reviews.
• Analyzing the root causes of litigation.
• Handling requests for legal advice.
• Liaising with attorneys on litigation prevention.
• Representing the company at mediations and court appearances.
• Ensuring legal risk management for the company.
• Assisting with the selection of and management of outside counsel.
