Palmetto Clean Technology, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Corporate Counsel with 5+ years of litigation experience to own case strategy, manage outside counsel, and drive favorable outcomes. You will oversee disputes, regulatory investigations, and e‑discovery while partnering with internal teams to mitigate litigation risk.

The role reports to the Assistant General Counsel and offers an opportunity to shape corporate litigation strategy in a fast‑growing clean‑tech company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience in law firm or in-house.
• Experience managing complex commercial or regulatory litigation.
• Public company experience a plus.
• Familiarity with e-discovery tools and litigation management software.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one state.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Proactively manage regulatory investigations and inquiries.
• Manage insurance claims from filing through resolution.
• Select, retain and manage outside counsel and budgets.
• Develop and execute litigation strategy and pleadings.
• Oversee e‑discovery during preservation, collection, and production.
• Provide day‑to‑day counsel on litigation risk to internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate and drive resolution of disputes.
• Monitor litigation portfolio and costs; report to leadership.
• Develop training on litigation risk mitigation and document retention.
