Helen of Troy seeks an Assistant General Counsel to join our Legal team in Plano or El Paso, TX, hybrid (on-site 3 days). The role focuses on drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, balancing legal risk with business aims, and advising internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA-accredited school, 3+ years of relevant experience, and a Texas license. Spanish is a plus. We offer competitive pay plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• 3+ years in-house or law firm experience.
• Active law license in Texas.
• Authorized to work in the United States full time.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, edit and negotiate commercial contracts and licenses.
• Evaluate contracts and provide opinions to business units and leadership.
• Partner with business units to balance risk and commercial objectives.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks proactively.
• Provide timely legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Stay current on relevant laws and trends affecting the business.
• Manage external counsel within budgets.
