Helen of Troy is seeking an Assistant General Counsel – Intellectual Property to manage and protect our patent portfolio and provide strategic IP guidance.

You will lead IP litigation, licensing, due diligence, and risk management while collaborating with senior leadership in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment.

Hybrid work in Plano or El Paso, TX, with in-office Tue–Thu and remote options Mon/Fri; strong in-house IP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
• 4+ years of IP experience in-house or at a law firm.
• Active Texas law license.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patent portfolio development, maintenance and enforcement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape IP strategy.
• Lead IP litigation management including patent, trademark and copyright disputes.
• Negotiate and draft IP licensing and related agreements.
