Helen of Troy is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join the Legal team in a hybrid role based in Plano or El Paso, TX. The attorney will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, balancing legal risk with business objectives and advising internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA-accredited school, at least 3+ years in-house or at a law firm, and Texas bar licensure. Spanish language skills and corporate/transactional experience are preferred.

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Provide timely, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Balance legal risk with commercial objectives to support business goals.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review, edit and negotiate legal documents including contracts, licensing and distribution agreements.
• Evaluate contracts and initiatives to minimize risk and support business objectives.
• Partner with business units and leadership to manage enterprise risk and outside counsel within budgets.
• Stay up-to-date on evolving laws impacting the business.
