Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Litigation Paralegal for a direct-hire role in Houston, TX. The position supports the in-house legal team, coordinating discovery, document production, and deadlines from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting an in-house legal department or large law firm.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and discovery.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Knowledge of court filing procedures and deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software.
• Experience with AI-enabled legal workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from opening through closure, maintaining accurate matter files and case records.
• Coordinate engagement and communication with outside counsel and internal business partners.
• Organize, collect, and review documents for claims, subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and litigation matters.
• Coordinate discovery, document preservation, litigation holds, e-discovery, and document productions.
• Track and maintain litigation deadlines, including discovery schedules, court deadlines, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement activities.
• Support responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and claims by gathering and organizing relevant information.
• Prepare reports and analyze litigation trends for legal leadership.
• Maintain legal matter management systems and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Serve as a liaison between the legal department, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely communication and case progress.
• Assist with additional litigation and legal operations projects as needed.
