Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a corporate attorney.
• Licensed to practice law in Japan (bengoshi qualification or equivalent).
• Full professional fluency in Japanese and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements including licensing, vendor contracts, distribution, and partnerships.
• Advise on Japanese employment and HR matters including hiring, termination, and compliance with local regulations.
• Provide corporate governance counsel on entity management, shareholder agreements, and board matters for Japan.
• Coordinate with external Japanese counsel across multiple practice areas.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Japan affecting Xsolla's business operations.
• Support cross-border transactions and collaborate with global legal teams on multinational matters.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks across all Japan business operations.
