Job summary

Logoslabs seeks an accomplished Associate General Counsel – APJ Commercial to join remotely from Singapore. You will be the first legal hire in APJ, negotiating complex SaaS contracts, guiding revenue initiatives, and shaping scalable legal processes for growth across APJ.

You bring 10+ years of PQE from law firms and in-house roles at fast-growing tech companies, with strong expertise in SaaS, data privacy, and cross-border transactions.

Qualifications

• Law degree and member in good standing in Singapore or Australia; international legal experience a plus.
• Minimum 10 years’ PQE practicing both with a law firm and in-house at a high growth technology company.
• Proven experience drafting, negotiating, closing and advising on complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise customers, partners, and resellers across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of commercial legal issues related to SaaS and software licensing, data privacy, security, IP, open-source, revenue recognition, and tax.
• Excellent judgement, business orientation, and ability to translate legal risk into practical commercial advice.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills to build trust with sales, cross-functional stakeholders and customers.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-growth environment.
• Experience supporting a high-growth infrastructure SaaS company.
• Track record of urgency and success in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience hiring and managing attorneys and other legal specialists.

Responsibilities

• First legal hire in APJ and build the APJ legal team as the business grows.
• Review and negotiate customer contracts to support the APJ sales team.
• Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal counsel to the APJ sales organization.
• Lead complex cross-border transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting the APJ region and coordinate with the broader Legal team.
• Provide training on legal issues and contract processes.
• Develop scalable contracts, playbooks, and templates to enable revenue growth.
