Job summary

DraftKings Inc. is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel, General Litigation to help manage disputes and litigation risk across the business. You will work with internal partners, outside counsel, and the Legal Team to assess disputes, respond to threats, and support active litigation.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably at a law firm; in-house is a plus.
• Active MA Bar membership or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Massachusetts.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities for legal issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assess lawsuits, demand letters, customer complaints, and other legal threats; gather facts and analyze issues.
• Draft and review court filings with outside counsel; support matters from assessment to resolution.
• Collaborate with opposing counsel to resolve disputes when appropriate.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify litigation risks and develop exposure strategies.
• Represent the company in small claims court as needed.
• Support investigations and regulator inquiries related to customer complaints.
• Provide practical legal guidance to internal partners on business risks.
