The role offers exposure to a broad range of legal issues and rapid impact on decisions. Two years of litigation experience and a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited school are required, with MA Bar eligibility.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school with strong academics.
• Active Massachusetts Bar membership or eligibility for in-house counsel in MA.
• Practical approach to analyzing risk and providing solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with a team.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and give clear legal guidance.
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess lawsuits, demand letters, and real or potential legal threats; gather facts and analyze issues.
• Draft and review court filings with outside counsel from assessment to resolution.
• Work with opposing counsel to resolve disputes when appropriate.
• Partner with teams to identify litigation risks and develop strategies to address exposure.
• Represent the company in small claims court as needed.
• Support investigations and regulatory inquiries related to customer complaints.
• Provide timely legal guidance on business issues and risk.
