Job summary

Post University is seeking an in-house Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to the university’s legal & regulatory team, faculty, and staff. The position focuses on drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating contracts and policies for in-person and online programs, ensuring compliance with law and university policy.

Remote position with very limited travel (<5%). Requires a JD from an accredited US law school and admission to at least one state bar. At least two years of legal practice; higher education experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Licensed to practice and in good standing in at least one state bar ( Connecticut house counsel status preferred).
• Minimum two years of legal practice experience.
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required; strong interest in university contracts and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor, technology, data privacy and IP agreements.
• Provide compliance guidance on regulations (Title IX, ADA, FERPA, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA) affecting operations.
• Counsel on contracts and policies supporting in-person and online education programs.
• Assist with international compliance for international student population.
• Conduct legal research and develop educational resources for university stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams and university staff across departments.
