Job summary

MYR Group, a leading specialty electrical contractor, seeks a Legal Counsel in Thornton, CO to support project managers and executives on contracts, disputes, and risk management. You will review, interpret, negotiate, and draft construction agreements with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and partners, collaborating with senior legal staff and operations management.

Qualifications

• Active state bar admission and ability to become licensed in Colorado within 6 months.
• 3 to 7+ years of construction law experience.
• JD degree from an accredited law school and a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support in all aspects of construction law.
• Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts.
• Draft documentation and provide legal support for disputes involving construction projects.
• Ensure proper organization and timely completion of relevant project documents.
• Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy.
• Essential functions performed at an office or field location.
